In August 18, 1995, Mr. Wu Jichuan, Minister of the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications(Now Minister of the Ministry of Information Industry) met with Mr. Tellep, Chairman of the Board and President of Lockheed Martin Corporation.
 

    In August 18, 1995, Mr. Li Chang-an, Chairman of the Board of China Orient, met with high-level management personnel of Lockheed Martin Corporation.

    In June 1996, Mr. Hao Weimin , Vice-Chairman of the Board and President of China Orient , met with visiting Mr. Coffman, Executive President of Lockheed Martin Corporation in the headquarter of China Orient.

    Some leaders of provincial administrations of posts and telecomminications visited China Orient.

　　Mr. Hao Weimin , Vice-Chairman of the Board and President of China Orient,and his colleagues, were discussing with the leaders of China International Telecommunication Construction Corporation about the prospect of the cooperation between two sides.

  (1) Establishment of company system main station
    In the next two or three years, according to the development of company business and social demand, the company system main station will be established to provide customers with wider service.

  (2) "ChinaStar-2" and "ChinaStar-3" Programs
    To satisfy the requirement of domestic and overseas satellite communication development, the company will initiate "ChinaStar-2" and "ChinaStar-3" projects at appropriate time to provide customers at home and abroad the space segment resource.

  (3) Developing new business
    While providing space segment service, our company plans to expand its business practice within the operating scope to further promote the development of satellite communication service.
